Privacy policy

This policy covers the Tithi Patro website (tithipatro.pages.dev) and the Android app. There are no accounts, no ads and no tracking.

What stays on your device

Every calculation behind the calendar, tithi, panchang, festivals, rashifal and kundali runs on your phone or computer. Your events and reminders, saved kundalis (name, birth date, time and place), chosen places and settings are stored only on that device. We can't see them.

In the Android app, the same data can also go into Android's automatic backup in your Google account, so it comes back when you install the app on a new phone. Google runs that backup, and you can turn it off in your phone's settings.

Reminder notifications are scheduled on the phone itself. No server is involved.

What is sent, and when

Information reaches our server in two cases only:

• Kundali readings and matching. When you ask for a reading, the app sends the birth moment, the latitude and longitude of the birth place, its time zone and the gender you chose. It does not send the name. The server writes the reading, returns it and keeps nothing. Matching sends only the scores already worked out on your device.
• Feedback and corrections. When you send the form, we store what you wrote, a contact address if you give one, and details that help us check the report: the page and date you were looking at, the place name with its location rounded to about 10 km, the calendar system and the language. To stop spam we also store a hash of your IP address that changes every day, never the address itself. We use this only to deal with your report.

We don't sell any information, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone.

Other services

• Cloudflare hosts the website and the server. Like any web host, it handles IP addresses to deliver requests.
• OpenStreetMap supplies the map. When you open the map to pick a place, its tiles load from their servers.
• Your phone's location is read only when you tap "Find me" under "Use my location", and it stays on the device.

Children

Tithi Patro is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Deleting data and contact

Everything on your device can be deleted with "Reset everything" in Settings, or by uninstalling the app. To have feedback you sent removed, or for any question, write to us through the feedback formor at tithipatro@nepali.games.

If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new effective date.
